All my life I have wanted to visit the Texas Hill Country during the time of year when our state flower, the bluebonnet, blooms, generally the first two weeks of April. I never could get away from school during this time (peak testing season) until after I retired. I was fortunate to be at a painting retreat in Fredericksburg, Tx, this year, to see it in all it’s glory. Photos don’t really do it justice.
